Welcome to Arizonans for Responsible Tourism!

Smart, well-managed tourism is a lifeline for communities and jobs across Arizona. By protecting responsible short-term rentals, we protect the recovery and long-term future of our entire communities.

AZRT is a 501(c)(6) membership organization that supports fair, common-sense regulation to manage short-term rentals throughout our communities. We work within our communities to educate short-term rental owners on responsible hosting practices and help hosts stay up to date on evolving state and local regulations, including TPT compliance and new local ordinances.

The Power of Joining AZRT

What is the alliance doing for me?

AZRT is the unified voice representing responsible STRs to City Hall and our broader community. Our volunteer leadership, together with our partners, keep a close watch on what’s happening with the city and throughout the industry to keep you up-to-date on everything you need to know, advocate for you, and help you best advocate for yourself.

Where do my dollars go?

Membership dues cover the things volunteer hours can’t. A portion of them cover our operating expenses, such as website maintenance, accounting and software, and the remainder go toward specialized services, such as PR, lobbying and legal support.

WHY JOINING YOUR LOCAL ALLIANCE MATTERS

“Attending Arizonans for Responsible Tourism (AZRT) webinars gave me a fuller picture of the regulatory landscape. I realized all the work AZRT does to support fair regulations and educate hosts, which resonated with me. I wanted to be part of their movement, surrounded by like-minded individuals.

AZRT provides valuable guidance and makes me feel connected and supported, especially during the sometimes lonely hosting journey.”

FOUNDER OF WELL & GOOD

“The networking opportunities are really beneficial, and the insight into regulations that AZRT provides really helps you prepare for any local changes.

I believe advocacy should include all members of the STR community, including vendors!”
