About the Organization
Founded in January 2021, AZRT is a 501(c)(6) membership organization that supports fair, common-sense regulation to manage short-term rentals throughout our communities. We work within our communities to educate short-term rental owners on responsible hosting practices and help hosts stay up to date on evolving state and local regulations, including TPT compliance and new local ordinances.
We believe smart, well-managed tourism is a lifeline for communities and jobs across Arizona. By protecting responsible short-term rentals, we protect our shared long-term future.
What We Do

We stand up for responsible short-term rentals at the state capitol and local level, and we provide hosts and managers resources to advocate for yourselves.
Regulatory support
We provide regular updates on the latest in ordinances and laws across the state, as well as support tools to help you get your permits, pay taxes, and more.

We create content and events for hosts and managers of all experience levels to professionalize and optimize your hosting.

OPEN BOARD POSITION: BOARD SECRETARY
Overview:
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for making a positive impact on your short-term rental community? If so, AZRT is looking for someone just like you to join our dynamic team as a Board Secretary! As the Board Secretary, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all board meetings run smoothly and that all documents are organized and maintained. If you’re excited about the opportunity to work with a committed group of individuals who are dedicated to making a difference, we encourage you to apply for this position!
As our Board Secretary, you will:
- Work closely with the Board President to set meeting agendas
- Attend all board meetings and take accurate minutes of proceedings and action items
- Help keep board members accountable for tasks
- Maintain accurate records of all meeting minutes, agendas, and other documents related to the Board
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise meeting minutes
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Slack, or a willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
