Sedona ADU STR Update: We’re Keeping Watch
The Sedona City Council met on Tuesday, March 11, to vote on an amendment to HB 2720 that would ban short-term rentals (STRs) in Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) unless the owner resides in the main home. While the outcome is still being reviewed, we want you to know that we’re closely monitoring the situation and will provide relevant updates as soon as they become available.
Your engagement in this issue is crucial, and we appreciate everyone who took the time to email, attend, or speak at the meeting. Stay tuned—we’ll share more details as soon as we have them!

🤝 Strength in Collaboration: AZRT & NMSTRA
Last week, AZRT Board Member John Hildebrand traveled to Santa Fe to connect with our neighbors at the New Mexico Short-Term Rental Association (NMSTRA).Together, they shared insights, discussed emerging legislative trends, and explored strategies to strengthen advocacy efforts across state lines.
These conversations reaffirmed a powerful truth: we’re not in this fight alone. By building relationships and learning from one another, we can better protect the rights of short-term rental owners and ensure fair, common-sense regulations. John returned from the meeting feeling inspired and energized by the dedication of our New Mexico counterparts—proof that collaboration makes us stronger.
Your support of AZRT fuels these important connections. Because of you, we’re not just reacting to policy changes—we’re shaping the future of STRs. Thank you for being a part of this movement! 💪✨
