Arizona Statewide TPT Requirement 

Apply for a state TPT license and file taxes per your city/county requirements. For help:

Register with the County

Local Requirements

Apply for city license and pay appropriate fees. You will need:

  • Physical Address
  • Acquire property insurance including at least $500K in liability insurance and plan to provide proof to the city during the licensing process.
  • Name, address, telephone number of the owner (or statutory agent if owned by entity)
  • Name, address, telephone number of each designee of the owner
  • Name, address, and 24-hour telephone number of the emergency point of contact
  • Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) number

Note: Allow 7 business days for city to approve or deny license

Don’t forget: Once you have your license, you must:

  • Display or list your city vacation rental license number on each advertisement for a vacation rental or short-term rental located within the city
  • Prominently display your interior signage notice (provided by the city with your license) on the inside of the front door and the primary door to the backyard or a conspicuous location near each such door.
