Arizona Statewide TPT Requirement
Apply for a state TPT license and file taxes per your city/county requirements. For help:

Maricopa County Requirement
Register with the County
Local Requirements
Apply for a Tempe STR License/Permit and pay an annual $250 license fee for each property or unit. You will need for the application:
- Physical address of the property.
- Name, address, and phone number of the owner of the STR (or legal name of the entity and its statutory agent)
- Name, address, and phone number of each designee of the owner, if any.
- Full name, address, and 24-hour phone number of the emergency point of contact.
- Proof of a valid sales tax license (TPT) and evidence the rental is registered with the Maricopa County Assessor’s Office.
- Acknowledgment by the owner to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances.
- Attestation of compliance with the neighbor notification required
- Evidence of liability insurance of at least $500,000
- Evidence the property is registered ith the Maricopa County Assessor’s Office
- Proof of lawful presence in the United States
Note: Allow 7 business days for city to approve or deny license
